Note: Your model number is 7931. It is important that you have your serial number

written down before you install the 24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch. You can find your

serial number on the bottom label of the 24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch and on the

side of the package. If you ever need to call our Technical Support department, you will need this

number to receive assistance.

Congratulations! The installation of your U.S.Robotics 24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch is

complete. As connections are established with the 24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch, the

corresponding LED lights will turn on. Repeat this step as needed for up to twenty-three

additional devices.

Troubleshooting

My 24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch is properly connected to my

Ethernet-ready device but my connection speed is slow.

Possible Solution:

Verify that your network adapter and/or additional Ethernet-ready device supports 1000 Mbps.

You may be using a 10/100 Mbps device. A blinking orange light indicates you are receiving and

transmitting data at 10/100 Mbps. A blinking green light indicates you are receiving and transmit-

ting data at 1000 Mbps. To achieve 1000 Mbps speeds, replace any 10/100 Mbps devices you are

using with 1000 Mbps devices.

Possible Solution:

Verify you are using a known and reliable RJ-45 Category 5 Ethernet cable. An old or unreliable RJ-

45 Category 5 Ethernet cable could diminish your link quality. It may be necessary to replace your

RJ-45 Category 5 Ethernet cable.

Possible Solution:

The length of your Ethernet cable between your 24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch and your

workstation or computer should not exceed 328 feet. Some power sources with strong

electromagnetic fields may be causing interference.

U.S. Robotics Corporation Limited Warranty

HARDWARE: U.S. Robotics warrants to the end user ("Customer") that this hardware product will be free from defects in work-

manship and materials, under normal use and service, for the following length of time from the date of purchase from U.S. Robot-

ics or its authorised reseller:

Two (2) years

U.S. Robotics' sole obligation under this express warranty shall be, at U.S. Robotics' option and expense, to repair the defective

product or part, deliver to Customer an equivalent product or part to replace the defective item, or if neither of the two foregoing

options is reasonably available, U.S. Robotics may, in its sole discretion, refund to Customer the purchase price paid

for the defective product. All products that are replaced will become the property of U.S. Robotics. Replacement products may be

new or reconditioned. U.S. Robotics warrants any replaced or repaired product or part for ninety (90) days from shipment, or the

remainder of the initial warranty period, whichever is longer.

SOFTWARE: U.S. Robotics warrants to Customer that each software program licensed from it will perform in substantial conform-

ance to its program specifications, for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase from U.S. Robotics or its authorised

reseller. U.S. Robotics warrants the media containing software against failure during the warranty period. No updates are pro-

vided. U.S. Robotics' sole obligation under this express warranty shall be, at U.S. Robotics' option and expense, to refund the pur-

chase price paid by Customer for any defective software product, or to replace any defective media with software which

substantially conforms to applicable U.S. Robotics published specifications. Customer assumes responsibility for the selection of

the appropriate applications program and associated reference materials. U.S. Robotics makes no warranty or representation that

its software products will meet Customer's requirements or work in combination with any hardware or applications software prod-

OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE: Customer must contact a U.S. Robotics Corporate Service Centre or an Authorised U.S. Robotics

Robotics or its authorised reseller may be required. Products returned to U.S. Robotics' Corporate Service Centre must be pre-

authorised by U.S. Robotics with a Service Repair Order (SRO) number marked on the outside of the package, and sent prepaid

and packaged appropriately for safe shipment, and it is recommended that they be insured or sent by a method that provides for

tracking of the package. The repaired or replaced item will be shipped to Customer, at U.S. Robotics' expense, not later than thirty

Dépannage

Mon commutateur 24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch est correctement

connecté à mon périphérique Ethernet, mais la connexion est lente.

Solution possible :

Assurez-vous que votre carte réseau et/ou le périphérique Ethernet supplémentaire prenne en

charge des vitesses de 1000 Mbits/s. Vous utilisez peut-être un périphérique fonctionnant à des

vitesses de 10/100 Mbits/s. Un voyant orange clignotant indique que vous recevez et transmettez

des données à 10/100 Mbits/s. Un voyant vert clignotant indique que vous recevez et transmettez

des données à 1000 Mbits/s. Pour atteindre des vitesses de 1000 Mbits/s, remplacez les

périphériques de 10/100 Mbits/s que vous utilisez par des périphériques de 1000 Mbits/s.

Solution possible :

Assurez-vous d'utiliser un câble Ethernet RJ-45 de catégorie 5, connu et fiable. Un vieux câble

ou un câble RJ-45 de catégorie 5 non fiable pourrait réduire la qualité de la connexion. Il peut

Solution possible :

Mein 24-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Switch ist vorschriftsmäßig an mein

Ethernet-bereites Gerät angeschlossen, aber die Verbindungs-

geschwindigkeit ist sehr langsam.

Lösungsvorschlag:

Überprüfen Sie, ob Ihr Netzwerkadapter und/oder zusätzliches Ethernet-bereites Gerät

1000 Mbps unterstützt. Möglicherweise verwenden Sie ein 10/100 Mbps-Gerät. Eine blinkende

orange Lampe zeigt an, dass Sie Daten mit 10/100 Mbps empfangen und übertragen. Eine

blinkende grüne Lampe zeigt an, dass Sie Daten mit 1000 Mbps empfangen und übertragen.

Um 1000 Mbps zu erzielen, ersetzen Sie alle 10/100 Mbps-Geräte durch 1000 Mbps-Geräte.

Lösungsvorschlag:

Überprüfen Sie, ob Sie ein vertrauenswürdiges, zuverlässiges RJ-45 Ethernet-Kabel der

Kategorie 5 verwenden. Ein altes oder nicht zuverlässiges RJ-45-Ethernet-Kabel der Kategorie 5

kann die Verbindungsqualität beeinträchtigen. Möglicherweise muss Ihr RJ-45 Ethernet-Kabel

der Kategorie 5 ersetzt werden.

Lösungsvorschlag:

Die Länge des Ethernet-Kabels zwischen Ihrem 24-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Switch und Ihrer

Risoluzione di problemi

24-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Switch è correttamente collegato al

dispositivo Ethernet, ma la connessione è lenta.

Soluzione possibile

Verificare che la scheda di rete e/o eventuali dispositivi Ethernet aggiuntivi supportino la

velocità a 1000 Mbps. Potrebbe essere in uso un dispositivo a 10/100 Mbps. Una luce arancione

lampeggiante indica che si stanno ricevendo e trasmettendo dati a 10/100 Mbps. Una luce verde

lampeggiante indica che si stanno ricevendo e trasmettendo dati a 1000 Mbps. Per ottenere

una velocità di 1000 Mbps, sostituire tutti i dispositivi a 10/100 Mbps in uso con dispositivi a

1000 Mbps.

Soluzione possibile

Assicurarsi di stare utilizzando un cavo Ethernet RJ-45 di categoria 5 sicuro e affidabile. Un cavo

Ethernet RJ-45 di categoria 5 vecchio o instabile potrebbe ridurre la qualità della connessione.

Potrebbe essere necessaria la sostituzione del cavo Ethernet RJ-45 di categoria 5.

Soluzione possibile

voltooid. Als er verbindingen tot stand worden gebracht met de 24-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps

Problemen oplossen

Mijn 24-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Switch is op de juiste manier aangesloten

op mijn Ethernet-vaardige apparaat maar de verbinding is langzaam.

Mogelijke oplossingen:

Controleer of uw netwerkadapter en/of het Ethernet-vaardige apparaat een snelheid van 1000

Mbps ondersteunen. Mogelijk gebruikt u een apparaat dat 10/100 Mbps ondersteunt. Een oranje

knipperlichtje geeft aan dat u gegevens verzendt en ontvangt met een snelheid van 10/100 Mbps.

Een groen knipperlichtje geeft aan dat u gegevens verzendt en ontvangt met een snelheid van

1000 Mbps. Om een snelheid van 1000 Mbps mogelijk te maken, dient u eventuele 10/100 Mbps-

apparaten die u gebruikt, te vervangen met 1000 Mbps-apparaten.

Mogelijke oplossingen:

Controleer of u een betrouwbare RJ-45 Categorie 5 Ethernet-kabel gebruikt. Een oude of

onbetrouwbare RJ-45 Category 5 Ethernet-kabel kan uw link-kwaliteit verminderen. Vervang

uw RJ-45 Categorie 5 Ethernet-kabel.

Mogelijke oplossingen:

De Ethernet-kabel tussen uw 24-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Switch en uw werkstation of computer

mag niet langer zijn dan 100 m. Het is mogelijk dat bepaalde krachtbronnen met sterke

elektromagnetische velden storingen veroorzaken.

Beperkte garantie van U.S. Robotics Corporation

HARDWARE: U.S. Robotics garandeert de eindgebruiker (oftewel “de klant”) dat dit hardwareproduct bij normaal gebruik geen

fabricagefouten en materiaaldefecten zal vertonen gedurende de volgende periode vanaf de datum van aankoop bij U.S. Robotics

of een erkende leverancier:

twee (2) jaar

De enige verplichting die U.S. Robotics onder deze uitdrukkelijke garantie heeft, is het defecte product of onderdeel naar

goeddunken en op kosten van U.S. Robotics te repareren, of een equivalent product of onderdeel te leveren ter vervanging van

het defecte product of onderdeel. Indien geen van beide voorgenoemde opties naar redelijkheid beschikbaar is, kan U.S. Robotics

naar eigen goedvinden besluiten het aankoopbedrag dat voor het defecte product werd betaald, te vergoeden. Alle vervangen

producten worden het eigendom van U.S. Robotics. Vervangende producten zijn nieuw of gereconditioneerd. U.S. Robotics

garandeert alle vervangen of herstelde producten of onderdelen gedurende negentig (90) dagen vanaf de datum van verzending

of de resterende tijd van de oorspronkelijke garantieperiode, indien deze periode langer is.

SOFTWARE: U.S. Robotics garandeert de klant dat ieder softwareprogramma dat onder licentie wordt verstrekt, in grote lijnen zal

werken volgens de programmaspecificaties gedurende een periode van negentig (90) dagen vanaf de datum van aankoop bij U.S.

Robotics of bij een erkende leverancier van U.S. Robotics. U.S. Robotics garandeert dat de media waarop de software zich bevindt,

gedurende de garantieperiode vrij zal zijn van defecten. Updates worden niet verstrekt. Krachtens deze uitdrukkelijke garantie is

U.S. Robotics uitsluitend verplicht tot het op kosten van U.S. Robotics en naar eigen goeddunken de aankoopsom voor defecte

softwareproducten terug te betalen of tot het vervangen van defecte media door software die grotendeels overeenkomt met de

corresponderende specificaties die door U.S. Robotics zijn gepubliceerd. De klant is verantwoordelijk voor de selectie van de

juiste toepassingen en het bijbehorende referentiemateriaal. U.S. Robotics garandeert noch beweert dat haar softwareproducten

voldoen aan de eisen die door de klant worden gesteld of zullen werken met hardware en/of applicaties van derden, dat de

softwareproducten ononderbroken en foutloos zullen functioneren of dat alle gebreken in de softwareproducten zullen worden

verholpen. Voor alle producten van derden waarvan in de productdocumentatie of in de specificaties van de U.S. Robotics-

software wordt vermeld dat ze compatibel zijn, zal U.S. Robotics doen wat redelijkerwijs mogelijk is om deze compatibiliteit te

leveren, tenzij de incompatibiliteit het gevolg is van een "bug", een defect in het product van derden of gebruik van het

softwareproduct in strijd met de door U.S. Robotics gepubliceerde specificaties of de handleiding.

DIT PRODUCT VAN U.S. ROBOTICS MAG SOFTWARE VAN DERDEN BEVATTEN OF DAAR BIJ INBEGREPEN WORDEN. HET GEBRUIK

HIERVAN IS ONDERHEVIG AAN EEN AFZONDERLIJKE LICENTIEOVEREENKOMST VOOR EINDGEBRUIKERS. DEZE GARANTIE VAN

U.S. ROBOTICS IS NIET VAN TOEPASSING OP DERGELIJKE SOFTWARE VAN DERDEN. ZIE DE LICENTIEOVEREENKOMST VOOR

EINDGEBRUIKERS VOOR DE GARANTIE DIE OP HET GEBRUIK VAN ZULKE SOFTWARE VAN TOEPASSING IS.

AANSPRAAK DOEN OP DE GARANTIE: De klant dient gedurende de betreffende garantieperiode contact op te nemen met een

U.S. Robotics Corporate Service Centre of een geautoriseerd U.S. Robotics Service Centre voor toestemming om gebruik te maken

van de garantie. Mogelijk wordt verzocht om een aankoopbewijs van U.S. Robotics of van een erkende leverancier van U.S.

Robotics met vermelding van de aankoopdatum. Producten die worden teruggezonden naar het Corporate Service Center van

U.S. Robotics moeten aan de buitenkant van het pakket worden voorzien van een door U.S. Robotics opgegeven nummer

waarmee toestemming voor de terugzending wordt verleend (Service Repair Order (SRO)-nummer) en voldoende gefrankeerd

en veilig verpakt worden verzonden. Het is raadzaam de zending te verzekeren of te verzenden volgens een methode waarbij het

pakket kan worden getraceerd. Het herstelde of vervangen artikel wordt op kosten van U.S. Robotics uiterlijk dertig (30) dagen

na ontvangst van het defecte product door U.S. Robotics teruggezonden naar de klant. Retourneer het product aan:
